Testimonials

“I never felt moved like that other than walking through galleries and seeing old artworks.

When you see that type of beauty, that type of art – it moves you. And this did it right away.”

“I met Bobby in RISD and then in New York. I was always so impressed and touched by his unique work and the most beautiful spirit.

“Experiencing his work is something I will always remember. The power I felt interacting with it, the peace.”

“I met Bobby at his art installation on Governor’s Island maybe five or six years ago. I didn’t know him personally, but the experience continues to stand out as one of the most interesting and profound art pieces I’ve ever seen. It changed how I view art altogether.”

A TRIBUTE TO BOBBY • 3 million pompoms floating both ways down the Hudson, 2023

Friend and artist A Noa Harrison (@extrarogers) created a tribute to Bobby – from a New York viewpoint (including the block in TriBeCa they once lived) to inside Bobby’s places for continuous eye contact, and studio, A Noa shares their personal anecdote and memories through video.

“Inside your places for continuous eye contact I really looked for you. So if you are the ghost in the machine I commend your elusiveness, but blanketed by your three million pom poms, I found myself, and then I lost myself, and I suspect next time I’ll find myself again. And if that is the closest we’ll ever come I still will have known ecstasy. And so have you.”
